Description
Those who have visited Provence and Vaucluse know the color of its landscapes. The red ocher and yellow ocher from Provence take their color from their history: more than two hundred million years ago, Provence was covered by water. Then the ocean receded, leaving behind ocher sand. This natural earth has been used since prehistoric times as a natural pigment, and traditionally to color handmade soaps, in different shades of reds, oranges and yellows.
