Once harvested, it is dried in the open air and then reduced to a precious fine powder.
This is the secret of its bright color. Thanks to this process, matcha is highly concentrated in vitamins A, E and catechins, powerful antioxidants with soothing and anti-inflammatory action, making it an ingredient of choice to fight against premature aging of the skin, and well. known to problem skin for its purifying and astringent power.
We needed to make a soap out of it! So we created the Matcha Mint soap, for tea and Zen aficionados like us!

Smells and perfumes are part of well-being rituals and awaken our senses. So that you can enjoy it to the full, we prefer to rely on safe ingredients. This is why we use more cosmetic fragrances than essential oils, which pose a risk for pregnant women, babies and children under 6 years old, but also people suffering from hormonal disorders.
They are rare and precious ingredients, and therefore we prefer to use them sparingly, when they are of genuine cosmetic interest. We mainly use fragrances developed and manufactured by expert perfumers from the famous city of Grasse in France, or the United Kingdom, renowned for their original and quality fragrances.
Our soaps contain a maximum of 2% fragrance, while our candles contain 8 to 10%. We only use fragrances guaranteed without CMR (carcinogenic or reprotoxic substances).
Color is an essential element of beauty and expression, enhancing the aesthetic experience of everyday products. To ensure that you can indulge in this visual delight safely, we are committed to using only natural colorants. This is why we exclusively employ mineral (such as red oxide, green oxide, yellow oxide, pink oxide, violet oxide, and ultramarine blue) and botanical colorants (including fruit or vegetable juices, powders, dyes, or plant extracts) in our products.
These colorants are not only visually stunning but also kind to the skin and the environment. They are chosen for their purity and natural origin, ensuring that our products are free from synthetic dyes that can cause irritation or harm. By using these natural colorants, we bring a touch of nature’s palette to our soaps, enhancing their beauty without compromising on safety or sustainability.
Our dedication to natural colorants is part of our broader commitment to eco-friendly and ethical practices. We believe in creating products that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also respectful of both our customers’ health and the environment.
With Hank, you can enjoy the vibrant hues of nature in your daily life, confidently knowing that they are sourced responsibly and with care.
Rapeseed & Coconut Wax
The wax in our candles is a testament to our commitment to eco-responsibility and ethical sourcing. The coconut component of our wax is derived from smallholder farms in the Philippines and Indonesia, ensuring that our supply chain supports local communities without contributing to deforestation. This approach not only respects the environment but also fosters sustainable agricultural practices.
The rapeseed used in our wax is sourced from European agriculture, known for its high environmental standards. Rapeseed cultivation is predominantly done in rotation, which is a key sustainable farming practice. This rotation method not only restores the quality of the agricultural soils but also plays a crucial role in combating diseases in cereal crops, subsequently boosting their yields. Such practices underscore our dedication to an agricultural system that is both sustainable and beneficial to the ecosystem.
Our blend of coconut and rapeseed wax is not only ethical and environmentally friendly but also offers a superior burn quality. This unique combination results in a longer burning time, allowing you to enjoy the ambiance and fragrance of our candles for extended periods. The use of these natural, plant-based waxes also ensures a cleaner burn, with less soot and harmful emissions compared to traditional paraffin waxes.
By choosing Hank candles, you are not just selecting a product; you are making a conscious decision to support eco-friendly and ethical practices. Our wax is a symbol of our unwavering commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing, ensuring that every candle we create has a positive impact on both the environment and the communities involved in its production.

Many of our home accessories are crafted from Jesmonite, a groundbreaking and robust composite material. Originating from the coastal gypsum of England, Jesmonite is water-based, making it not only environmentally friendly but also impact and fire-resistant. Distinguished by its absence of solvents and Volatile Organic Compounds, Jesmonite ensures minimal environmental impact. Its production process is energy-efficient, requiring no baking and employing non-toxic materials for coloring or glazing.
Sourced from local supply chains within the UK, Jesmonite’s components support regional sustainability. Its comparatively lighter weight against traditional materials like cement, sand, stone, and fiberglass reinforced concrete offers a significant advantage. This reduces transportation costs and environmental impact, thereby cutting down CO2 emissions and minimizing our carbon footprint.
Additionally, Jesmonite’s versatility extends to its waste management. Any residue from our production process is not discarded; instead, it’s repurposed to create new, beautiful items. This zero-waste approach underlines our commitment to sustainability and responsible design, making Jesmonite an ideal material for our eco-conscious products.
